Aju departs from the prevalent seniority system nd implements
a flexible personnel system where individuals are acknowledged
for their performance and abilities, thus allowing the individuals
and organization to grow together.

  • Work method focused
    on tasks and performance

    For efficient task handling, Aju is implementing a flexible work system where everyone is given the authority over and responsibility for their own time management.

  • Lateral
    communication

    In order to transform the hierarchic communication title system to a more lateral system, Aju has done away with the prevalent position titles used in Korean workplaces. Instead, all employees are called ‘manager’ regardless of their role and responsibilities in order to encourage lateral communication.

  • Creative ideas
    and flexible thinking

    Aju’s dress code is business casual because it believes that a freer environment leads to creative ideas and flexible thinking which in turn leads to a young and vibrant corporate culture.

Position title system

Aju departs from the prevalent seniority title system and has only two position titles, ‘leader’ and ‘manager,’ based on the individuals’ work method and role. Such changes were implemented to reinforce lateral communication in the workplace leading to the positive effect of creative ideas being discussed freely.

Performance management system

Aju’s performance management system follows the order of: establishing goals, interim evaluation, evaluation and feedback. Rather than simply measuring and awarding performance, it aims to foster human talents in a long-term and comprehensive manner.

Compensation system

Aju is implementing a comprehensive compensation system with a focus on providing motivation for individuals. It provides basic wages based on internal alignment and external competitiveness as well as diverse and differentiated piece wages based responsibilities and performance.

Fostering human talents

Aju has a training system in place for individuals to continue growing within the organization. By learning and training in the particular leadership skills needed for their roles and responsibilities, individuals can assess their career development and receive full support in becoming the leaders and experts of the future.
